  • Overview

Join faculty experts in reviewing best practices for chronic kidney disease–associated pruritus (CKD-aP), a common but under-recognized symptom affecting patients with CKD. Through expert interviews, case discussions, and brief lectures, the series examines the psychosocial burden of CKD-aP and outlines practical strategies for symptom recognition, assessment, and management.

Topics include validated assessment tools such as WI-NRS and Itch-MOS, integration of patient-reported outcomes (PROMs), and the role of interdisciplinary care involving nephrologists, dermatologists, and nurses. Experts also discuss approaches to improving documentation, symptom tracking, and clinical communication. The series emphasizes the value of holistic care models and the importance of addressing quality of life concerns in CKD management.
