Neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and retinal vein occlusion (RVO) are leading causes of vision loss, and their numbers are on the rise. Early diagnosis and treatment are critical since even minor delays can have profoundly negative effects on vision outcomes.
Welcome to Time Is Vision in Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Retinal Vein Occlusion.
This series of educational activities centers on the importance of timely referral and early diagnosis with information that is presented on proactive screening strategies, clinical trial data surrounding the use of VEGF inhibitors, the pros and cons of various approaches for individualizing treatment plans, and strategies for team-based care. A patient education video and handout are also available that underscore the importance of early treatment of nAMD and what patients can expect with intravitreal injections.
