Part of what makes this Saving Sight, Preventing Vision Loss in Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Macular Edema educational initiative so groundbreaking is that it combines the expertise of a retinal specialist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, Director of the Office of Research on Women's Health, and the Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Applications at the National Eye Institute.
