Dr. Roger Härtl, Director of Neurosurgery at Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, is no stranger to forging new ground. In this episode, he discusses how far navigation technology for spinal surgery has come over the last 20 years and looks ahead to how augmented reality will make surgery more accurate for surgeons and less invasive for patients. Dr. Härtl also talks about the impact of his work teaching and training neurosurgeons in Tanzania and where he hopes new technology will take the field in the future.
