Dr. William Kennedy Smith is president of the Center for International Rehabilitation. He specializes in rehabilitation medicine and is also founder of Physicians Against Land Mines. A past recipient of the Scholl Recognition Award for Rehabilitation Research and a past member of the United States Council on International Disabilities, Dr. Smith is also an adjunct instructor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also the son of former UN ambassador to Ireland Jean Kennedy Smith and the nephew of one of this nation's most influential members of Congress, Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts.
