William F. Galtney, Jr. is chairman of Galtney Enterprises, Cedar Equities, Oxford Insurance Services, and Gessner Holdings, LLC. He started the Galtney Group (GGI) in 1983 specializing in brokering and underwriting medical malpractice insurance for healthcare providers throughout the United States. One of GGI's subsidiaries, Healthcare Insurance Services (HIS), grew to become the 21st largest insurance brokerage company in the United States. HIS was the broker for over 60,000 physicians and over 500 hospitals and was sold in 2001.

Mr. Galtney is a founding director of NYSE Everest Reinsurance Company. He has served as a director/trustee of the Greater Houston Community Foundation, Memorial Hermann Hospital System, Episcopal High School, University of Mississippi Foundation and as past chairman of the Houston Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. 

Mr. Galtney received a BA and MPA from the University of Mississippi. He is a member of the University of Mississippi Hall of Fame.
