Dr. Timothy A. Rubin has practiced gastroenterology at the Saint Mary's Duluth Clinic Health System (SMDC) in Duluth, Minnesota, since 2002. Dr. Rubin earned his MD at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and did his internal medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, also in Minneapolis.

Dr. Rubin worked as a general internist at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, for three years, before returning to the University of Minnesota for a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. At SMDC, Dr. Rubin currently performs most of the stool transplant procedures, carrying on the work that was started by his colleague, Dr. Hans Aas. Dr. Rubin is board certified in internal medicine, with a subspecialty in gastroenterology.
