Sumon Agarwala, MD, FACE is an attending physician in the Endocrinology division at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. Dr. Agarwala previously practiced general endocrinology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he focused on management of type 2 diabetes, clinical and radiological evaluation of thyroid nodules, and management of thyroid cancer. Prior to this, Dr. Agarwala was Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He is interested in developing strong relationships with patients, patient care and teaching medical residents and students. He continues to keep up to date through his memberships and participation in conferences with the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association, and American Diabetes Association. Dr. Agarwala received his medical degree from UMDNJ and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Subsequently, he pursued his subspecialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Agarwala is a key opinion leader interested in new technologies for the treatment of diabetes, particularly those involved in the use of insulin therapy and continuous glucose sensors. He has been involved with multiple diabetes clinical trials and published on novel insulin delivery devices. He is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
