Scott E. Rudkin, MD, MBA

    Dr. Scott E. Rudkin is the vice-chair, assistant dean of continuing medical education, co-director of the Center for Biomedical Informatics, assistant program director, and associate clinical professor of emergency medicine in the department of emergency medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

    Dr. Rudkin earned his medical degree, completed a residency in emergency medicine and served a subsequent fellowship in medical informatics in the department of emergency medicine from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. In addition, he was academic chief resident and named Resident of the Year. He earned his MBA from University of California Irvine Graduate School of Management, where he was valedictorian.

    Dr. Rudkin is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. His research interests include emergency medicine workforce issues, medical informatics, trauma management, and emergency department efficiency. He is a fellow of both the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Rudkin serves on the editorial board of the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine. He is a reviewer for Academic Emergency Medicine, Journal of Emergency Medicine, and Pediatrics, and he has been published in several scientific journals. Dr. Rudkin has been an invited speaker at a variety of medical conferences, both nationally and internationally.
