Nicholas Shaheen, MD, MPH, is Director for the Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing at the University of North Carolina and Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and School of Public Health.

Dr. Shaheen is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Shaheen is on the editorial board of the journals Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
