Lt. Cmdr. Mill Etienne, MD, is a neurologist in the department of neurology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Etienne fled from Haiti to the United States with his family in 1981, at the age of 5. He grew up in suburban New York, and attended New York Medical College. He completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in internal medicine in 2003 and in neurology in 2006. He completed his fellowship, also at New York Presbyterian, in 2008.
Lt. Cmdr. Etienne is one of the 1,100 doctors, nurses and support staff on board the hospital ship USNS Comfort. He is an alum of the American Academy of Neurology's Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Forum, and an advisor to the program.
