Dr. Lisa Boardman is a consultant in gastroenterology and hepatology and assistant professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She received her MD degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and subsequently completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.
Dr. Boardman has been active in a clinical practice focused on colorectal cancer and hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes. She has been engaged in research primarily directed toward the study of the molecular genetic basis of young onset colorectal cancer. She is currently working on a grant funded by the National Cancer Institute to study the role of telomeres in young onset colorectal cancer patients.
