Dr. David Soper is the director of the division of gynecology and general obstetrics and the vice chairman for clinical affairs at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is the former president of the medical staff at the Medical University Hospital. He has served on the Anti-Infective Drugs Advisory Committee for the Federal Drug Administration. Dr. Soper has written numerous articles, published many books and lectured extensively on infectious diseases in women. He is also a former commander in the US Naval Reserves.
