David B. Feldman, PhD, is an assistant professor of counseling psychology at Santa Clara University. He earned his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas and completed a fellowship in palliative care within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. He has worked with patients and families coping with cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke, and countless other serious medical conditions. Dr. Feldman is the co-author of The End-of-Life Handbook: A Compassionate Guide to Connecting with and Caring for a Dying Loved One, which was written especially for families of patients with life-threatening illnesses. He also has authored 29 scholarly articles and book chapters as well as presented nationally and internationally.
