Dr. Argyropoulos is a nephrologist with an interest in the epidemiology and care of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). He is the Division Chief of Nephrology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where he runs the Diabetic Nephropathy Clinic at the Diabetes Comprehensive Care Center. He has authored 40+ publications, and his research leverages Bayesian methods to examine predictive biomarkers and systems biology modeling of diabetic kidney disease and outcomes in patients with CKD or ESRD. Dr. Argyropoulos he is a current fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and the chair of the medical review board of ESRD Network 15. He serves as an associate editor for Frontiers in Medicine, a review editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology, and is member of the editorial board of Journal of Clinical Medicine.
