Dr. Atul Sachdev attended college at Johns Hopkins University and completed his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for medical school. He attended the University of Texas at Houston for residency training, where he was chief resident. After working as a private family physician for 11 years, he opened New Horizon Healthcare in Baytown, TX. In this setting, he delivers a personalized health care model to his patients with MDVIP, which has allowed him to emphasize prevention in his practice. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. As a graduate of the Bale--Doneen Method Preceptorship Program, his practice emphasizes prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes.
