Dr. Alan B. Goldsobel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas. He completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco, and his allergy/immunology fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Goldsobel is a clinical professor in the department of medicine at UCSF, and adjunct clinical associate professor in the department of pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine.

He is a past president of the California Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and has been selected to "Best Doctors in America" from 2001 to 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology.
