This is Project Oncology on ReachMD. On this episode, Dr. Triparna Sen will highlight key research being presented at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer. Dr. Sen is the Max Morehouse Endowed Chair in Cancer Research and Associate Director of Research for the Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University, as well as the Director of the Lung Cancer Preclinical Therapeutics Platform at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Let’s hear from her now.
Dr. Sen:
I’m particularly excited about the Presidential Symposia. There are two Presidential Symposia this year where I think some of the best studies are being presented. In the Presidential Symposium I, which is going to happen on September 13, we have four key studies being presented. The first one is the MAVERICK study. It's the SWOG S1827 study, which is a phase III trial of brain MRI surveillance plus/minus prophylactic cranial irradiation in small cell lung cancer. Then we have the TAISHAN 302 study, which is an anti-B7-H3 antibody-drug conjugate versus topotecan in relapsed small cell lung cancer. It's a randomized, open-label, phase III study. We have the ARTEMIS-008 study, which is again, a B7-H3-directed antibody-drug conjugate versus topotecan in relapsed small cell lung cancer. It is a primary result from a phase III study. We have the EVOKE-03 study, which is sacituzumab govitecan plus pembrolizumab in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
And then at the Presidential Symposium II on September 14, we have the ADAURA study, which is adjuvant osimertinib in resected EGFR-mutant stage IB to IIIA non-small cell lung cancer. We have the PAPILLON study, which is amivantamab chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR exon 20 insertions. We have the REZILIENT-3 study, and we have the ARROS-1 study, which are all being presented. The ARROS-1 study is the TKI in metastatic ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer patients.
Other than that, there are various educational sessions. We have biomarker sessions, liquid biopsy sessions, and small cell sessions, so I think there's a lot to look forward to. It’s a very rich program that brings together recent advances in research, in treatment, in the translational area and biomarkers, and also in patient advocacy. I think it's going to be a very rich program. There's a lot to look forward to this year.
