Suneel Chilukuri:
Hi, I'm Suneel Chilukuri, board certified dermatologist from Houston, Texas, but I'm coming to you live from Maui Derm. We just finished a great session talking about what's our treatment. We really got a chance to discuss all the new things that are coming into the cosmetic world. How do we use regenerative medicine to make sure that we're giving you the best possible results for our patients? Can we actually activate the body by using exosomes, by using polynucleotides, polydeoxyribonucleotides, and even PDGF, so platelet-derived growth factors? Can we use this in combination with the device that we're already using? So we know that we can use energy-based devices, and is it one energy-based device by itself, or do we stack those treatments? And from Dr. Mitch Goldman, Dr. Suzy Kilmer, Dr. Ava Shamban, Val Callender, David Laub, what we discovered by talking to all of us together is that the combination therapies, especially when you do a mega session, seem to be working better.
The other pearl that we take away, or we want to share with everybody who's in the audience is this, when you do a device, when's the best time to do a second treatment? And depending on the maturity of the skin, that's going to be between two to four weeks later. Then between the second and third session, what's the ideal time? Now you want to wait between two to four months. All that is based on pathology and how we can affect the pathology using these devices. So I hope that you'll join us next year at Maui Derm and really get to learn more pearls about how do we pick and choose, how do we use any device or any product to make sure that our patients get the best result.
