Mastering the Management of ASCVD Risk
Clinicians around the world require regular review of new ASCVD risk reduction trial data through balanced, objective, and scientifically rigorous education. Keeping pace with advances ensures that all novel and recommended approaches are appropriately integrated into clinical practice. Recent survey data indicate that physicians and others treating patients with diabetes, dyslipidemia, and at risk of further ASCVD are seeking a better understanding of lifestyle and medical interventions. This knowledge is crucial to achieving our goals of reducing associated morbidity and mortality and improving healthcare utilization.
This educational curriculum goes beyond merely reviewing data and encompasses guidance on the application of those data to day-to-day clinical practice. The goal here is not only to improve competency in the management of ASCVD but also to reinforce a change in clinical behavior, thereby improving patient care and clinical outcomes.
This NEW Clinician’s Learning Center is a destination site for aggregated CME education where we will explore the challenges involved in managing the care of patients with ASCVD risk. After learning about the latest guideline recommendations and new ASCVD risk reduction clinical trial data, participants will be better able to integrate this advancing knowledge into their clinical practice to increase the number of patients at risk of ASCVD who are receiving the most appropriate, optimal therapy.
