  • Overview

Irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) has a multifactorial pathophysiology that comprises altered motility, visceral hypersensitivity, and dysregulated brain-gut interactions. An individualized treatment approach can address multiple mechanisms at once and help patients achieve better symptom management and quality of life. Dr. Charles Turck is joined by Dr. Michael Camilleri to learn more about how a multifactorial approach to IBS-C treatment can be beneficial. Dr. Camilleri is a consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic and a Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology, and Physiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota.
