  • Overview

Elevated albuminuria is a critical marker of kidney damage and a predictor of cardiovascular risk, but it remains under-addressed in many clinical settings. However, with new therapies available and mounting evidence supporting early intervention, clinicians have more tools than ever to manage this condition effectively. To discuss best practices in managing elevated albuminuria, Dr. Jennifer Caudle sat down with Dr. Leslie Gewin and Dr. Robert Mentz. Dr. Gewin is a Physician Scientist in the Division of Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Staff Physician at the St. Louis VA.  Dr. Mentz is an Associate Professor of Medicine in Population Health Sciences at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
