  • Overview

Albuminuria is emerging as a powerful early indicator of cardiovascular risk, even in patients with preserved kidney function. However, despite its predictive value, this inexpensive and actionable test is still underused in routine cardiovascular care. Joining Dr. Matthew Sorrentino to discuss how albuminuria can reshape heart and kidney risk assessment is Dr. Ashish Verma. Dr. Verma is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Nephrology at Boston University, Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. He's also a physician at Boston Medical Center and the lead nephrologist for the Boston University Amyloidosis Center.
