  • Overview

    The Fundamentals of Pulmonary Hypertension for Advanced Allied Health Professionals, in its final course, uses the knowledge from the basics and diagnostics courses to discuss test result integration and application to patient care. This course provides a high-quality, in-depth understanding of risk stratification and how to communicate results and risks to patients with pulmonary hypertension. The course provides you with experiences in test interpretation and dynamics of patient communication with experts from nationally recognized pulmonary hypertension clinics, enabling you to understand test results and the application of these results in patient care.

  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Pulmonologists and Cardiologists, as well as Primary Care Physicians, Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, and all other healthcare providers who are involved in the management of patients with pulmonary hypertension.

  • Learning Objectives

    After participating in this educational activity, participants should be better able to: 

    • Classify patients into appropriate categories for timely management. 
    • Appraise findings from diagnostic testing for risk stratification and appropriate interdisciplinary referrals in patients with pulmonary hypertension.
    • Discuss dynamics of patient communication in patients with pulmonary hypertension with varying risk levels.
