  • Overview

Improving the overall quality of life for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, or HFrEF, is a key component of their care. But many patients may fail to reach symptom relief or experience improved functional status, even when receiving optimized pharmacologic guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). Medical devices like Barostim™ – or baroreflex activation therapy (BAT) – can play an important role in heart failure treatment and positively impact outcomes for these patients.
