Dr. Fabri describes how her years of experience providing care to torture survivors seeking asylum in the U.S. has prepared her for her current volunteer work in Rwanda as part of the WE-ACTx organization. She then illustrates the uniquely tragic phenomenon of relapse which many survivors of the 1994 genocide experience when living among both victims and past-torturers alike within small impoverished communities.
