Dr. Tufik Assad, MD, MSCI, a board-certified internist, pulmonologist and critical care intensivist, practices critical care and pulmonary medicine at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN, where he serves as Director of the Critical Care and Lung Nodule programs. After completing his medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and his internal and chief medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center, Dr. Assad moved to Nashville for his pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowships at Vanderbilt University. While a fellow, he also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. Dr. Assad serves on Williamson’s COVID-19 Task Force and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, in addition to his appointment as the Cancer Physician Liaison for the Commission on Cancer. He lives in Nashville with his wife and two children.
