Dr. Susan Wicklund received an abortion in her early 20s, when the procedure was legal, but no counseling or aftercare was available. She has been an abortion provider on the front lines of the abortion debates for most of her 20-year medical career. Dr. Wicklund is the author of This Common Secret: My Journey as An Abortion Doctor (PublicAffairs, a member of the Perseus Books Group, 2007). She currently practices in Montana.
