Dr. Steven Garlow is an assistant professor of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. Much of Dr. Garlow's current research centers around different aspects of regulation of serotonergic function, including one project that focuses on the relationship between major depression and vascular disease. Another key area of his research aims to characterize the serotonergic systems in adult animals that were subjected to an adverse event in their early years.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed his postdoctoral degree in genetics and molecular biology at Carnegie Mellon University.
