Stephen H. Hanson is the president of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Hanson currently practices full time as a PA in Bakersfield, California. His present clinical positions include plastic and reconstructive surgery with the Grossman Burn Center and occupational medicine with Irene Sanchez, MD.

Mr. Hanson has received significant awards and honors for his contributions to the PA profession, including the AAPA House of Delegates Outstanding Service Award and the Kern County Outstanding Physician of the Year Award.
