Dr. Shan Liu is an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and an instructor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. In March 2009 she published a study in the Annals of Emergency Medicine looking at patients awaiting inpatient hospital beds boarded in the emergency department.
