Dr Sara M. Tinsley is a nurse practitioner working in malignant hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. She is also an assistant professor at the University of South Florida College of Nursing. Her clinical focus is the care of patients diagnosed with various hematologic malignancies, and more recently she has focused on myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and acute myeloid leukemia. Dr Tinsley is a member of the International Nurse Leadership Board for the Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation. Her research focuses on evaluating and improving quality of life for patients with hematologic malignancies. She has published and lectured in this arena over the past 12 years. Dr Tinsley is truly passionate about the care of her patients.
