Samantha Rosman, MD
Samantha Rosman, MD

    Dr. Samantha L. Rosman is a fellow in pediatric emergency medicine at Boston Medical Center, and was elected to the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees in June 2005. She recently completed her residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital Boston. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Massachusetts Medical Society.

    While a medical student in New York, Dr. Rosman conceived helped to develop a free primary care center for indigent patients. She then led efforts to expand health coverage to uninsured children. While in New York, Dr. Rosman gained more experience in organized medicine by leading the AMA chapter at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and by serving in the Medical Society of the State of New York House of Delegates.

    Dr. Rosman serves as chair of the AMA Task Force on Health System Reform. She has served in the AMA House of Delegates as an alternate delegate for the AAP, and also for the AMA Medical Student Section (MSS). She served on the AMA-MSS Governing Council and chaired the AMA-MSS Subcommittee on Increasing Access to Health Care.

    Dr. Rosman received her bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and received her medical degree in 2004 with many honors, including AOA, the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award, and an award of distinction in pediatrics. Prior to entering medical school, she was as a paramedic and emergency medical technician in Pennsylvania.
