Dr. Robert Hauser is a senior consulting cardiologist at the Minneapolis Heart Institute, and chairman of the cardiovascular services division at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He also serves as director of the Multicenter Registry of Pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation. He is a founder and past president of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), and is a fellow of HRS and the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Hauser received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cincinnati General Hospital and his fellowship in cardiology at Presbyerian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago.
