Dr. Richard Krasuski is the Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Center and Hemodynamic Research at Duke University Medical Center. He also serves as the Medical Director of the CTEPH Program and is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Duke. Additionally, he leads the Duke University Collaborative Cardiovascular Society. Dr. Krasuski received his medical degree from Harvard, followed by an internal medicine residency at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and a cardiology fellowship at Duke. He then served in the U.S. Air Force, earning recognition as Researcher of the Year in 2004 and becoming the youngest finalist ever for the Gold Headed Cane Award in 2005. From 2005 to 2015, Dr. Krasuski directed the ACHD program at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2013, he was honored with the Bruce Hubbard Stewart Award for his compassionate and skilled medical practice. He returned to Duke in 2015. Dr. Krasuski is an editorial board member and reviewer for over 20 leading medical publications. He has authored or co-authored more than 400 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters.
