Dr. Richard Anderson is chairman and chief executive officer of The Doctors Company, the nation's largest physician-owned malpractice carrier. Prior to his current job, Dr. Anderson was a clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego, and past chairman of the department of medicine at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, where he served as a clinical oncologist for 18 years. He is also editor of the book, Medical Malpractice: A Physician's Sourcebook.
