Dr. Phyllis Kozarsky is an expert consultant in the division of global migration and quarantine at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a professor of medicine and infectious diseases in the department of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. She is also an editor of several travel medicine books, including the CDC guide, Health Information for International Travel, also commonly known as the Yellow Book.
Her current research efforts have primarily focused on issues in clinical tropical medicine and travelers' health. This includes the epidemiology of travel-related infections, as it relates to the more than 50,000 patients in the GeoSentinel worldwide database. Additionally, Dr. Kozarsky has published a myriad of peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and book updates, as well as material in many other mediums.
