Dr. Paul Sanders is a family physician from Cambridge, Minnesota. He served as the CEO of the Minnesota Medical Association from 1990 to 2002. Throughout his career, he has been active in the care of the elderly and in long term care medical direction, and is a past-president of the Minnesota Medical Directors Association. 

Since leaving clinical practice in 2007, Dr. Sanders has continued as the corporate medical director of the Benedictine Health System, where he oversees medical direction for 51 senior living centers. He also serves on the board of the Living Services Foundation and the Foundation for Health Care Continuums, which provide long-term care for seniors in the upper Midwest.

Dr. Sanders has been active in the area of professional liability risk management and liability reform. For 25 years, he served on the board of the Midwest Medical Insurance Company as vice-chair and chairman of risk management. He has also chaired the Committee of Professional Liability for the American Academy of Family Physicians.
