Dr. Nuzhat A. Ahmad is assistant professor of medicine in the department of medicine and associate director of endoscopic services at Penn Medicine. 

Dr. Ahmad received her MBBS from DOW Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed an internship at the Civil Hospital and her residency at the Institute for Urology and Transplantation, both in Karachi, Pakistan. In the U.S., Dr. Ahmad's internship, residency and fellowship were completed at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She went on to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy at Penn Medicine.

Dr. Ahmad serves on the staff of contributors for selected summaries for Gastroenterology, and is an editorial board member of Digestive Diseases and Sciences.
