Dr. Nicholas A. Kotov is a professor in the chemical engineering department at the University of Michigan. Dr. Kotov received his doctorate degree in chemistry in Russia from Moscow State University. Dr. Kotov's research interest focus on nanotechnology, composites, thin films, tissue engineering and and applications of nanotechnology for medicine. He is a world leader in this field with breakthrough studies in neural interface with nanomaterials, applications of Au nanoparticles for leukemia treatment, drug discovery with three-dimensional tissue replicas of bone marow, and artificial liver. Dr. Kotov has received multiple national and international awards and recognitions.
