Natasha Haskey (RD) is a Registered Dietitian with 18 years experience in the field of nutrition. Natasha completed a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Masters of Science at the University of Saskatchewan. She is a member of the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association, College of Dietitians of British Columbia and the Dietitians of Canada. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. Natasha is a national dietitian expert in gastrointestinal nutrition, specifically in the areas of probiotics, prebiotics, as well as how diet has an impact on the microbiome. In January 2017, she began a PhD at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan at the Centre for Microbiome and Inflammatory Research. Natasha has been honored with a Canadian Institute of Health Research Doctoral Award - Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship (2018), Dietitians of Canada Member Recognition Award for Innovation in Dietetics (2017), University of Saskatchewan Young Alumni Achievement Award (2012) and a Centennial Alumni of Influence Award (2014). ​ Natasha is an active volunteer in both the profession of dietetics, as well as in her community. She served as President of the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (2010-2012) and Co-Chair of the Dietitians of Canada Pediatric Nutrition Network (2009-2011). She has also served on the Board of the Saskatchewan Branch of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. She is actively involved in mentoring and teaching dietetic students. Natasha's love of food and nutrition extends beyond her day-to-day work - she is a self-proclaimed foodie, as she loves to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, share her baking with friends and family, and is passionate about culinary travel. Her two Jack Russell Terriers (Jake and Lilly) keep her active!
