    Dr. Michael Roizen is an anethesiologist and internist, author, and currently serves as the chief wellness officer at the Cleveland Clinic— the first such appointment at any major academic medical center. Dr. Roizen is a past-chair of a Food and Drug Admnistration advisory committee and former editor of six medical journals. He also holds 14 U.S. patents, started six companies, served on FDA advisory committees for 16 years, and co-invented a drug, methylnaltrexone (MTNX, trade name Relistor), which he took through phase 2 trials. Dr. Roizen also developed the "Real Age" concept and has authored or co-authored five number-one New York Times best-sellers.
