Dr. Michael K. Ong is an assistant professor in the division of general internal medicine & health services research in the department of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Ong's research focuses on improving the delivery of health by primary care doctors, particularly internists. His research has focused on topics ranging from smoking cessation to hospital-based care.
Dr. Ong received a BS in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine; his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego; and a PhD in health services and policy analysis from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed the primary care internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
