Dr. Michael Hildebrand is a fellow in the department of otolaryngology at the Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa, in Iowa City. Originally from Australia, Dr. Hildebrand graduated with a PhD in biochemistry/genetics from the University of Melbourne.
Prior to his fellowship at the University of Iowa, Dr. Hildebrand was a fellow at the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Deafness and other Communication Disorders.
Dr. Hildebrand's research interests include: hereditary hearing loss; dominant hearing loss; sensorineural hearing loss; stem cell therapy for sensorineural hearing loss; RNA interference; and mammalian cochlear anatomy and physiology.
