Mayo Clinic
Dr. Michael Camilleri is a professor of physiology and a professor of medicine at the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. He is also the associate director of the clinical research training program at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Camilleri received his medical training at the University of Malta Medical School in Guardamangia, Malta, followed by residencies at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, Hammersmith Hospital in London and St. Luke's Hospital in Guardamangia, Malta.
Dr. Camilleri's research interests are in the areas of clinical enteric neuroscience. Specifically, this involves the study of physiology and pathophysiology of human gastrointestinal motor and sensory functions, and the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
