Dr. Matthew Golden is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and the director of the Sexually Transmitted Disease Control Program for Public Health in Seattle County and King County in Washington.
Dr. Golden serves as an associate editor of the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections, and a member of the editorial board for the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and the World Health Organization's STD Diagnostics Initiative Literature Review. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. In 2006, he was recognized with the Honor Award for Excellence in Innovation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention for his work on expedited partner therapy.
Dr. Golden earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and completed his master's degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. He subsequently finished his internship and residency at the University of Washington.
