Dr. Mark L. Willenbring is a clinical professor of psychiatry at George Washington University School of Medicine, and is the director of the Treatment and Recovery Research Division of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) within the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Willenbring is also the lead author of the NIAAA publication entitled "Helping Patients Who Drink Too Much: A Clinician’s Guide," a resource guide that is widely used by health care professionals.
