Dr. Plaster practices Emergency Medicine in Baltimore, MD and also holds a JD degree. He created and publishes Emergency Physicians Monthly, which contains his signature column "Night Shift". He is active in the US Marine Corps Reserve, and has completed a tour of duty in Iraq.
