Dr. Hankes is Clinical Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He served for 13 years as the full-time Director of the Washington Physician's Health Program. He is among the 100 pioneer physicians in the entire U.S. who passed the first certification exam in Addiction Medicine and is currently a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
