Dr. Joseph R. Lex is an associate professor of medicine in the department of emergency medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and an emergency physician at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Lex received his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Dr. Lex has received several awards for his contributions and leadership in emergency medicine. He is an active member of both the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
